It is important to get hotel bookings right. After some initial enquiries make sure that the hotel is aware that it is a stag do. This will avoid any last minute problems when arriving at the hotel, as some do have a no stag do policy.
Make sure you book the hotel in plenty of time. If you have 10+ blokes all going to the same hotel they may have trouble accomodating you unless you book well in advance. Try to get a group discount. Try to find out their normal room rate first if you can. Then start to talk about the stag do and numbers of rooms required. This means you can ask for a discount from the hotel, and you can see what sort of deal you are getting for the group booking compared to the normal rate. Ask the hotel questions regarding late bar, late night access into the hotel etc etc. Small independant hotels might have some sort of curfew when the front door gets locked, so it is worth checking in advance. Most hotel operators are only to glad to keep the bar open late, but check the policy on this. Remember to check with the guys who are coming who wants a single room, and who wants to save some money by sharing a twin hotel room. Ask the hotel what size rooms they have eg how many twin rooms With flights, there are quite a few operators who offer cheap european flights. Some airlines will do group discounts so that is worth checking. Operators like Easyjet and Ryanair are often fairly inexpensive. Remember the longer in advance you book the cheaper the flight will tend to be. You dont tend to get last minute deals with scheduled operators, the price for the flight just tends to go upwards the closer the departure date it. So book those flights early. |
